What Happens When You Shoot a Samurai Sword with a Wax Slug?

You can always count on Taofledermaus, a Wide Open Spaces shooting video contributor, for fun, games, and shotguns. In this silly video, Taofledermaus shoots a $10 Samurai sword with homemade wax shotgun slugs. Will the sword hold up to the test?

Of course, "real" Samurai swords (called Katanas) cost a lot more than $10; in fact, Japan regulates swordsmiths, allowing each to produce only two Samurai swords per month. That makes them pretty hard to come by (and maybe a bit immoral to shoot at). But maybe the Samurai are still patting themselves on the back after seeing that even a dollar-store sword (almost certainly made in China, not Japan) can stand up to a shotgun slug.
