Rio Olympics Bans Fishing…in Toilets?

The Olympics bans fishing in a rather odd place: the bathroom toilet.

By now, most everyone has heard the water-quality nightmare going on at the Rio Olympics.

It’s probably safe to say that no one is going fishing.

However, it seems that officials want to be sure no one is fishing in the Olympic Village…in the toilets.

Elena Delle Donne, a member of the U.S. Olympic basketball team, posted the photo from outside a bathroom in the Olympic Village to Instagram.

“Guess I won’t be toilet fishing today,” Delle Donne posted.

Other activities prohibited by the sign at the Rio Olympics? Throwing trash in the toilets, vomiting, squatting on top of the toilets and what looks like peeing like a dog in a urinal.

The Olympics seems to be gaining notoriety for its bathroom signs.

At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, similar signs were posted.

Toilet fishing was also prohibited in Sochi.
