Reef Fishing for Giant Trevally Can Yield a Bruiser Like This

trevally

Surf casting for giant trevally puts a big fish in the pocket for one reef fisherman.

Hawaiians call them Ulua, while the Aussies just say GT. Whatever you call giant trevally doesn’t matter when you hook one this size while up to your waist in the ocean.

(There’s question of whether or not this guy should be fishing off of this reef, but first watch this great catch!)

On the Hawaiian Islands, for instance, some areas are off limits to shore fishing. A simple check of the regulations for each island will let you know when and where you can fish for beautiful species like this.

Having said that, this is a great example of getting out there where the big ones are and hooking up! Keep taking those eye-popping videos!
