True or False: Shooting at a Frozen Lake Can Result in a Spinning Bullet

Real or Fake? Shooting A Handgun Into Frozen Lake Can Result In A Bullet Spinning On The Ice

Did these guys really capture a video of a bullet spinning on the ice after being shot into a frozen lake?

Watch the video of the bullet spinning for yourself and see what you think:

It appears as though this video is genuine. Who knows how many shots it took them to get a shot of the bullet spinning like that, though.

MythBusters did an episode about this a few years ago and they were able to duplicate the feat (sort of). You can learn more about the reason why the bullet continues to spin like that here.

Oh by the way, we don’t recommend trying this at home. While capturing video a of a bullet spinning like that is really cool, doing so can be dangerous.
