Real-Life Halo Warthog Visits Washington Military Base [VIDEO]

Fantasy came to life when a group from Washington’s Joint Base Lewis-McChord got a surprise visit from a Halo Warthog.

The armored reconnaissance vehicle, with its mounted anti-aircraft gun, is familiar to fans of the Halo series. If a dune buggy and a monster truck had a baby, it would grow up to be a Warthog. It is a massive, open top, all-terrain vehicle.

Of course, characters and vehicles from video games are purely fictional, but sometimes fiction comes to life. The real-life Warthog was built on the chassis of a Hummer H-1 to promote the release of Halo 4. It’s 8 feet tall, more than 8 feet wide, and more than 17 feet long!

This is the Halo Warthog. What do you think? Does the real-life version do justice to the original?
