This group of rare whales, known as False Killer Whales, found a GoPro-toting dolphin safari guide to be quite interesting.
The best part about getting out of the house to enjoy nature is the fact that you never know what you might encounter, and having an experience like this happen is all the more reason to get off your butt and enjoy the outdoors.
Known to be similar in nature to the bottlenose dolphin, when the captain lowers his GoPro camera into the water, these curious creatures come in for a closer look.
Here’s what the video’s description had to say:
Captain Dave, owner and operator of Captain Dave’s Dolphin and Whale Watching Safari in Dana Point, California, had an extremely rare group False Killer Whales (Pseudorca crassidens), come over to his boat and surround him. These animals have not been seen off Dana Point by Captain Dave for nearly a decade.
If you’re spending most of your time watching television, or scrolling through news feeds to see what your friends are up to, chances are you aren’t making any memories. But if you were to have an experience such as this, you could tell the story for the rest of your life.
