There’s always a bigger fish.
Or, in this case, a bigger ocean-going carnivorous mammal. Or 3 of them, working together.
In this rare video, capture off the coast of Costa Rica by underwater photographer Caroline Power, three killer whales hunt down and share a tasty meal, one that happens to be a full-grown tiger shark.
It’s a bad day to be this tiger shark.
Tiger sharks are known to be very aggressive toward humans, accounting for the second largest number of unprovoked attacks behind the Great White. Tiger Sharks can grow up to 14 feet long, and weigh up to 1400 pounds.
They’re mighty, and nasty, and mighty nasty.
Except when they have three 32-foot, 6-ton orcas who are much, much more intelligent, quite literally on their tail.
If Jaws scared you as a kid, this video might just help you swim a little more calmly.
