Rare Amazon River Fish Caught in New Jersey Has Human-Like Teeth [VIDEO]

A pacu, an Amazon River fish caught in South Jersey is a long way from home.

Ron Rossi from Delran, Burlington County recently caught a very rare Pacu at Swedes Lake.

This fish is native to South America, and it also has a very surprising feature. It has human-like teeth!

Pacus are native to the Amazon River and look a lot like piranhas. However, they are classified as omnivores, and piranhas are carnivores.

This catch was a first for both the angler and the body of water. It appears this fish was once a pet purchased from a local pet store. The former owner apparently released it into the lake when it grew too large.
