Something that is often forgotten, but should be at the top of our priority list is to raise your favorite hunting buddy.
As deer season winds down around most of the country and you start looking into other forms of hunting don’t forget that this time of year is a great time to really get some new hunters out in the woods. Whether for squirrel, duck, or just for shed hunting, taking the time to raise your own hunting buddy should definitely be on your list of things to do this winter and spring.
The idea to raise your own hunting buddy can be taken a couple of ways. There is the first obvious choice of raising your son or daughter to grow up as a hunter. To me, that is what this video is showing: three generations of hunters side-by-side.
But for those of you like me who don’t have, and have no plans to have, children, there is still no excuse. There are kids all around you who would absolute love to go hunting and spend time in the woods that need a mentor. You can make a huge impact on the life of any young person by becoming their hunting mentor and raising them in the right way to hunt.
No excuses. If you really want to help and make a difference you can. What will you do to raise your favorite hunting buddy this year?
