The Queensland River Goes up in Flames in Environmental Activist Ad

“This rivah is on foiyah,” is the point proven by environmental activists in Australia speaking out against fracking.

When humans blatantly defy the laws of nature to create an anomaly as crazy as this river on fire, it’s a pretty crazy sight.

The Queensland river is at the center of heated debate in Australia currently over fracking since it is only steps away from multiple fracking sites along its run. However, it is now flammable due to the methane leaking through the ground and into the water.

This fire burned for an hour at a full strength, which is pretty incredible when you think about the fact that most building fires don’t do that.

Just like the Cuyahoga River fire in 1969, this river fire will certainly open people’s eyes to the health of the Queensland River, whether they are pro fracking or not.
