Any hunter can appreciate a successful public land hunt. These easterners are taking it to another level.
Success on public land is something to be admired and appreciated. It should be even more so when done in the east, in a high-pressured state like Pennsylvania.
The guys at Wild At Heart Outdoors were successful alright, going 3-for-3 in the Allegheny National Forest in the 2014 season. Not only did they shoot three very respectable bucks with a bow, but they captured their entire season on film.
I’ve hiked in the Allegheny National Forest and fished it’s reservoir, and I can vouch for it’s vastness and remoteness. I haven’t hunted the Allegheny yet, but this film has certainly inspired me to give it a try.
This type of adventure isn’t easy to come by in the east. However, a few large wildernesses remain, and adventure can be found for those willing to pursue it.
