Shooting in a fast paced competition, like Steel Challenge or some Practical Pistol Sport, with both eyes open is definitely better. Team Smith and Wesson Pro Shooter Doug Koenig agrees.
In this video, Doug takes some time to explain why shooting with both eyes open is important and how it can make your competition times faster. From seeing the sights properly aligned to target acquisition, he breaks down why this method works well for him.
