Your Privacy Rights

This Privacy Policy is effective as of September 20, 2011.

Information Collected

When you register for our services WOS may collect information including, but not limited to, first and last name, email address, user name, and password.

Information Use

WOS may alter the routing information on email messages to ensure proper delivery and may add information to the beginning or end of emails you receive. By registering for an account you authorize the foregoing.  The added information provides controls for organizing the email messages, background information about the sender, and coupons and offers.

We will send you email messages as part of providing our services. These messages may include, but are not limited to, daily and weekly summaries, notifications, and offers. You can always opt-out of email communications.

We will occasionally send you email messages to tell you about new products or services that we offer or think you would be interested in.

If you supply us with your postal address online or we receive it through one of our relationships, you may receive mailings from other third party companies. These third party companies may use the information that you provide to WOS or WOS receives from other sources to deliver you mailings with offers about goods and services that may be of interest to you. We use a third party company to distribute our offers.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party without notifying you of our intent to share the information and giving you an opportunity to prevent your information from being shared.

From time to time, we may partner with companies based on the interests of our users. These partner companies will never see your email address or any other information that could identify you or be used to contact you directly.

Any exceptions to this policy of sharing your name, address or email address with a partner company will be done only with your permission.

WOS reserves the right to disclose information when required by law and to investigate illegal activities, fraud or other violations of WOS’s terms and conditions.

We occasionally use other companies to perform services necessary to our operations. In the course of providing these services, those companies may have access to your personal information. By contractual agreement, those companies must treat your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, we will not be liable for any damages that may result from the misuse of your personal information by these companies.

WOS may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with WOS’s server and to administer WOS’s web site. Your IP address may also be used to help identify you and your online profile and to gather broad demographic information.

WOS may use demographic and/or profile data to tailor the visitor’s experience on WOS’s site, show you content that WOS thinks you may be interested in, and display content according to your preferences. The demographic and profile data will be shared with advertisers ONLY on an aggregate basis.

Security

WOS uses industry-standard technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged between WOS and other companies to help ensure its security. This site has security measures in place designed to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under WOS’s control. WOS’s servers are backed up regularly and protected by security systems.

Cookies

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. WOS’s site uses cookies to keep track of your session and advertising delivery. WOS may also use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests and to save your password. WOS may use an outside ad company to display ads on WOS’s site. These ads may also contain cookies. While WOS uses cookies in other parts of WOS’s web site, cookies received with banner ads are collected by WOS’s ad company and WOS does not have access to this information.

Links

WOS has links to other web sites that are not associated or authorized by WOS. WOS cannot control these links and WOS is not responsible for any content appearing on these sites.

Amendments

WOS may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If WOS is going to use personally identifiable information collected through WOS’s corporate site in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection WOS will notify users via email and/or by posting a notice on WOS’s Web site for 30 days prior to such use.

Deleting Account Information

WOS’s site provides users the opportunity to deactivate the service and delete all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) stored by WOS in reference to an account. To delete all PII you can (i) send email to privacy@wideopenspaces.com; or (ii) send postal mail to the address below

Marketing Opt-Out

WOS’s site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving marketing communications from WOS. To opt-out of receiving our communications, you can (i) send email to remove@wideopenspaces.com; or (ii) send postal mail to the address below.

Successors and Assigns

This Privacy Policy inures to the benefit of successors and assigns of WOS.
