Austin Pontier has shot a buck of many lifetimes near Ossceola, Iowa. 

In the era of the internet and social media, it doesn’t take long for a big buck to quickly circulate. Every year, it seems that some stories get the attention of everyone, and people speculate that it could be a new record.

If the pictures aren’t deceiving, Pontier’s buck could give Mell Johnson’s half-century-old archery record of 204 4/8″ a run for its money.

The buck was shot on November 6th, and we are still waiting on a score. Some have been speculating it will net 190-210 inches. Only time will tell, but nonetheless, congratulations to Austin for an incredible whitetail!
