Potential IGFA Record Muskie Landed in Canada

This record muskie is an absolute brute!

IGFA just released word that on September 4, 2016, angler Mike Stolte landed the potential new All-Tackle Length world record muskie.

The fish measured an impressive 133 cm (52.5 inches). The previous record measured just under Stolte’s catch for a total of 132 cm.

Stolte was fishing the famous St. Lawrence River outside Ontario, Canada when he came tight on his trophy.

The fish crushed a large wooden crank bait that Stolte was throwing that day. It took some time for him to subdue the big muskie, but when all was said and done, he knew he had a special fish on his hands.

I am sure Mike Stolte will not be forgetting this fish any time soon.
