How can you use a car battery to start an emergency fire?
People have figured out all sorts of ingenious ways for making fire over the centuries. But here’s one you might not have thought of.
YouTuber Crazy Russian Hacker shows us how you can quickly start a fire using a car battery, steel wool, and jumper cables. It actually works pretty well.
Granted, most have jumper cables in their car, but you may be asking; ‘Who keeps steel wool in their car?’ Probably not a lot of people, but now that you’ve seen it, you can be prepared.
Seems like a good reason to buy a little bit of steel wool and keep it in the glove box to me, especially if you are in a northern climate.
This may not be the safest way to start a fire, but emergencies sometimes call for drastic measures.
Hopefully you have other, safer resources available to start a fire in roadside or back roads emergency, but if you don’t, it’s helpful to remember little tips like this. Knowledge is power in any survival situation.
