Shark in Florida Pool Was a Sick Joke, Wildlife Officers Taking Action

Chron

This recently famous pool shark found in Florida deserves its own special justice.

Just over the last two days, social media exploded when Florida officials were baffled by reports of a five foot blacktip shark found swimming in a pool near Hypoluxo, Florida. At first, people were shocked and confused, but now, witnesses are coming forward revealing that this unfortunate pool shark requires law enforcement’s attention.

“These two kids, they came back from fishing and threw this half-dead creature into the pool as a prank,” said Nicole Bonk, one of the residents of the condo as she told the Sun-Sentinel. “They left the shark in the pool to die. I think they’re terrible children because it’s animal cruelty.”

Both Bonk and her husband did what they could, but it turned out to be a tough save.

“We tried to revive him, but he mostly likely did not live,” she reported. “He was barely moving after the trauma. We did our best to try to save this creature.”

Wildlife officers in the area are now reviewing cameras and gathering more witness testimonies in attempts to find the two kids responsible.

Hopefully these kids are caught and not allowed to fish again for quite some time.
