A motion-activated trail camera in Montana’s Glacier National Park captured this hilarious footage of a grizzly bear pole dancing, Montana style.

What do you get when you combine footage of a grizzly bear rubbing a tree with some appropriate music? A pretty darn funny video of a bear showing us what pole dancing is all about. Grizzly bears aren’t just fearsome predators: apparently, they’re pretty darn good dancers as well.

Check out the video to see what I mean.

This footage was captured as part of a research project being conducted on the Northern Continental Divide population of grizzly bears in western Montana. No, it’s not so they can study the dancing habits of bears. By setting up trail cameras on popular bear rub trees, researchers can get a pretty good estimate of the bear population and age structure in the area.
