Bass tournament organizers are encouraged to use the Michigan Fishing Tournament Information System web application.

Michigan’s Department of Natural Resources wants bass tournament organizers to use the Michigan Fishing Tournament Information System. The web application has been designed to allow directors to plan tournaments at DNR sites.

Organizers will also be able to report catch results online.

The Michigan Fishing Tournament Information System allows tournament directors to look up what tournaments are scheduled on which bodies of water in order to aid them in planning, and to view other bass tournaments scheduled on a selected waterbody, so they can plan appropriately.

Tournament directors have to set up a Michigan Single-Sign-On account to schedule events at DNR-administered public access sites and to record their catch data.

Bass tournament fans can use the Michigan Fishing Tournament Information System to check schedules without creating a log-in. However, catch results will only be available to tournament directors and only for their own tournaments.

Tournament catch results will be downloaded monthly by Fisheries Division staff.
