Pike T-Bones Brown Trout, Gets Caught for Its Trouble

pike

This hungry northern pike has latched onto a beautiful brown trout and just won’t let go. The trouble is, the brown trout has latched onto this guy’s lure. Watch and see what happens next.

They say that big lures catch big fish. The only problem is that this beautiful 20-inch brown trout doesn’t have treble hooks and a plastic body, only the hooks in the lure that it just struck.

Enter one big, hungry northern pike.

Watch what happens when a pike grabs more than it can chew and ends up as possible dinner.

Pike are: nuts, hungry, apt to attack anything, willing to hold on forever, and aching to try and swallow anything twice their size.

This sure isn’t the first time that this has happened and it won’t be the last. Seeing it on video just reinforces the idea that we should be using heavy line, and a heavy acton rod in pike country. Next thing you know they’ll be eating your trolling motor.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that already happened somewhere.
