This peregrine falcon bathing in a bird bath in slow motion will make you fall in love with a hunting raptor.
Falcons are almost as beautiful up close as they are flying in the sky, and the same is the case of the peregrine falcon.
With that in mind, this is how they keep themselves looking so pretty, that is unless you’re a pheasant or a rabbit.
The Facebook user that posted this has many photos of falcons and other raptors on his page. Since you can see that the bird in this video is tethered, I’ll go ahead and wager that this falcon is domesticated in some way.
Falconers love their animals as much as we love a dog or a cat so I’m certain that this bird is a well cared for animal. Working birds like hunting falcons aren’t much different than that beautiful lab or upland bird dog we’ve all hunted over.
If it’s just a pet, then by all means it should be reintroduced into the wild and given a fighting chance to survive as it was meant to.
