While it’s designed for low-weight Alpine climbing, the new Hybrid Sleep System by Patagonia is good for any cold-weather outdoor overnight stay.
By eliminating the redundancies of many sleep systems, Patagonia has created a way for people to climb quickly and also stay warm.
According to Patagonia’s website, the sleeping bag is “850-fill-power Traceable Down, encased in an ultra-lightweight Pertex® Quantum shell fabric, warms from the torso to the toes.” It’s designed to be paired with a high alpine insulated jacket or parka for full comfort and performance.
The system comes in three different sizes, allowing almost every Alpinist to find the perfect way to stay warm.
It sells for between $279 – $319 through Patagonia and is perfect for the person who wants to carry the minimally required equipment at lower weights for quicker climbs.
