Wildlife officials are asking anglers to keep all pike they catch in Utah Lake.
Utah Lake is a fresh water lake that lies in the Utah Valley surrounded by the Provo-Orem metropolitan area. Utah wildlife officials believe pike were illegally introduced into the water some time ago.

Biologists are concerned with this fish’s aggressive feeding patterns, in which they pretty much eat anything they want. This behavior is affecting the sport fish and endangered fish in the lake.
The Utah DWR urges anglers to keep and kill their pike catch this fishing season. It is also important to keep record of where and when the pike was caught.
