Kids in Oregon take a guided trip down the Sandy River and prove that they have what it takes to boat some mighty fine steelhead!
The great state of Oregon has plenty to offer in the ways of outdoor cold weather activities and this group of intrepid youth anglers wouldn’t let a little thing like winter get in their way.
Watch a team of kids and their guide take some steelhead to task and put them in the net. Youth anglers are the future of the sport, but you can these work their magic today!
The smiling crew on this expedition was Kennedy Schuler, Grant Embre, Tess Raz, and their smiling guide Jack Glass. Glass says that he “never tires of taking youngsters fishing for steelhead” especially when they latch into big fish like these!
Watching kids have success and the smiles on their faces is enough to make any parent proud. People like guides, youth coaches, and teachers of all kinds are instrumental in bringing the world to our children.
It goes without saying that it starts right in the home with mom and dad.
Three cheers for this future angling trio, their guide, and their parents for making this trip and sharing it with us!
