New Hunters: Don’t Forget Your Hunter Education Classes [VIDEO]

hunter education

Take hunter education classes this summer if you want to hunt in the fall.

If are 41 years old or younger, you will need to complete a hunter education course very soon.

Federal law requires any hunter born on or after September 2, 1971 to successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course.

The minimum age for certification is 9 years old. Anyone younger must abide his or her state’s laws while hunting in the field.

Hunter education is important for all hunters, and it enables everyone to have a good time in the safest manner possible.

If you would like to volunteer to help teach the next generation of hunters, contact your local fish and wildlife department about becoming an instructor.
