So, what happens if a person puts live .22 LR cartridges in a microwave?

This experiment has been done before, but what kind of different results happen with .22 LR ammunition? Some of the cartridges do pop open like fireworks but only the bullets and casings separate. It takes a gun barrel to direct pressure to create a real bullet power projectile.
