The spring turkey season in Michigan runs from the end of April through early May. Exact dates depend on the zone where hunting is taking place.

Beginning March 16, hunters can purchase licenses left over from the January-February application and drawing session.

The leftover license is a statewide hunting license valid for all open areas, except public lands in the southern Lower Peninsula. The license has no quota and can be
purchased throughout the entire spring turkey hunting season.
