The Story of the Navy SEAL Who Was Shot 27 Times and Lived to Tell About It

This Navy SEAL got shot 27 times, managed to kill the terrorists shooting at him and still made it home.

Sr. Chief Mike Day and his outfit were on a hunt for Al Qaeda members that had just shot down two U.S. helicopters killing everyone on board.

When Mike and his team approached the suspected house, Mike was the first person to enter, and what happened next was truly unbelievable.

Mike entered the room only to come face to face with four armed terrorists with AK-47s. Before Mike could do anything, they began firing.

“It felt like somebody was just beating me up with sledgehammers.”

When Mike realized he was being shot, he immediately thought about his family.

“God, get me home to my girls.”

After taking 16 bullets to his body, and 11 directly to his body armor, Navy SEAL training and muscle memory kicked in and Mike managed to draw his sidearm and kill all four terrorists in the room.

If that wasn’t incredible enough, Mike also cleared the rest of the house and walked to the MEDIVAC helicopter on his own two feet.

After spending two years recuperating in the hospital, Mike now spends his time trying to help his fellow service members that have been wounded. You can make a donation or simply help spread the word here.

This is a miraculous story of survival and fortunately this American hero lives to tell about it.
