These Mysterious Prototype Pistols Just Have to be Witnessed

What can be more intriguing than mystery prototype pistols?

Not much, in our book, as these sweet pistols looked promising but never had their day.

Forgotten Weapons takes a look at two mysterious prototype pistols.

Ian from Forgotten Weapons has come across some very mysterious semi-automatic pistols. These two pistols are said to be Iver Johnson prototype pistols chambered in .32 ACP cartridge.

One such pistol has a thumb safety. With the manual safety disengaged, the shooter’s thumb pushes on a button to allow firing. Now, that’s an odd safety feature that obviously never caught on.

While these prototype pistols may look like something from a Star Trek movie, they’re just another forgotten weapon from another time.
