MLB Player Shane Victorino Hits Home Run with Huge Alaskan King Salmon

Check out this huge Alaskan king salmon Shane Victorino caught. Talk about a grand slam of a fish!

Although he hasn’t played on a team since May, after being released from his minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs, 35-year-old Shane Victorino isn’t letting a lack of baseball get him down. On a recent trip to Alaska with his family, this two-time World Series champ hooked into the fish of a lifetime.

Victorino, who goes by the nickname ‘the Flyin’ Hawaiian,’ tweeted out a pic of his monster king salmon he hooked and landed on July 28. The hashtag #MONSTAH sums up this monumental catch perfectly.

Here’s hoping an MLB team gives Victorino a call and gets him back on the field soon. But in the meantime, it looks like he’s doing just fine reeling in some awe-inspiring fish.
