The model surprised many when she posted a shooting video to social media.
Twenty-four-year-old Queenslander Tess Alexander was awarded the crown of Miss World Australia at the finals in Perth recently, which she said was a “total surprise.”
Many Australians were themselves surprised when this beauty queen revealed that she is a keen target shooter. She has posted videos of herself practicing at a local shooting range, decked out in full protection gear, to her social media pages.
“It’s fun,” Alexander said about her shooting hobby. “I’m all about learning new things.”
The green-eyed, pale-skinned, redhead is breaking stereotypes on many fronts.
Alexander admits: “I am not the typical beauty queen. What I bring to the role [of Miss World Australia] is some diversity. I don’t look like your typical Australian. I don’t have blonde hair and I’m not very tanned.”
The former model now works as a personal fitness trainer but has worked on fashion projects across the world, including provocative lingerie shoots.
