Watch as one man may change the way tarpon are fished for forever in the mini series “The Migration”.

Tarpon are one of the most sought after sport fish in the ocean during their annual migration into the Florida Keys. They can grow to massive sizes and their unnatural ability to throw hooks will put even the most experienced fisherman to the test.

For centuries the preferred bait for tarpon fishing has always been live bait of either crab, small fish, or shrimp. While some have developed artificial lures for use when going after the powerful fish they have had little success rates, until now.

Travis Holeman has been fishing for tarpon for years and may have just unlocked the secret to how to correctly use artificial lures to catch these incredible fish. Tackle Direct teamed up with him for this short web series as he takes them out to demonstrate his new method.

This mini series is very interesting and has some incredible high definition footage of what tarpon fishing at its best looks like. The explosive action they have captured on film is a must see for any serious ocean angler.

The series is divided into six parts covering each part of their 10 day trip to the Florida Keys targeting, catching, and even losing some massive tarpon along the way. You can watch all six, five minute episodes exclusively on TackleDirect’s website.
