Michigan’s Waterfowl Hunting Spots from the DNR

This is a quick guide to waterfowl hunting spots available to the public in Michigan.

Have a look at the great system and location map setup by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. It involves a free permit system that allows you to book in at some great spots for a hunt.

Great locations vary from large tracts of wetland, open field hunts and flooded cropland. It’s great that the State promotes its hunting heritage by allowing access for hunters to some prime duck hunting locations.

That’s a great snapshot to seven premier hunting locations. In this day and age when hunter access is becoming more of an issue programs like this are great to keep the tradition going and also bring in revenue to the area.

Kudos to Michigan DNR for putting this system together.
