In the not too distant future, where privacy is a thing of the past…
One man will take a stand. His name is Johnny Dronehunter. Armed with a massive shotgun, mirrored-shades and an old-school Cadillac, Johnny takes the eyes in the sky to task.
That’s the premise for SilencerCo’s ad series, promoting the company’s new Salvo 12 shotgun suppressor.
It’s a tongue-in-cheek take on drone privacy in the future. But it’s sort of dead-on serious, too. Either way, it’s an entertaining way to show off the new Salvo 12. Check it out.
In an email to the online publication Motherboard, SilencerCo’s CEO Josh Waldron wrote that he hopes the series will “energize the ongoing discourse about privacy in a creative way.”
“We created Johnny Dronehunter and intend to continue a series of videos in this vein with him as the main character to represent the Americans who feel they don’t have an appropriate voice in this privacy debate.”
SilencerCo is planning a few episodes of Johnny Dronehunter that will roll out this fall.
