A nasty combo of conditions have cause a Florida fish kill concerning many.

Florida’s Indian River Lagoon is in dire straits, as an unprecedented fish kill has taken the lives of thousands of fish.

Why are they dying? Rainfall in abundance has essentially poisoned the lagoon through runoff, and brown tide has made a huge impact.

“The heartbreaking images can be seen for miles,” said Mike Connerin in the CNN article. “All up and down the coast, it’s the same story, and it could get worse before it gets better.”
