Just how massive is a 112-pound catfish, anyway?
Well, North Carolina angler Riahn Brewington found out quickly.
Check out this almost-record-breaking 112 pound catfish caught in North Carolina.
Angler Riahn Brewington almost broke the North Carolina state record. He was just 5 pounds under the record with his massive 112 pound catfish he caught in the Cape Fear River.
Riahn was fishing just a day before Thanksgiving when he hooked into this monster in New Hanover County. Riahn had this to say “In the water, it felt like it was pretty big, I thought it would have already snapped the line, but I didn’t realize how big he was until I actually got my hands underneath him.” He released the giant catfish after pictures were taken.
Great catch Riahn. You sir almost had catfish instead of turkey for Thanksgiving.
