A Man Tried to Rob a Texas Waffle House with an AK-47 and was Stopped By a Licensed Carrier

An AK-47-wielding robber entered a Waffle House in Texas, but upon his exit, was met with several gunshots from a licensed gun carrier.

Police in Desoto, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, have arrested Antione Cooper after witnesses say he robbed several people inside a Waffle House restaurant.

Interestingly enough, Cooper’s weapon of intimidation was an AK-47, which was not reported to have been fired during the incident. Police then say a handgun-licensed customer exited the restaurant behind Cooper, shouted at him, and fired several shots with his handgun when the AK-47 was pointed his way.

Cooper remains on life support at a local hospital.

The customer was reportedly not arrested, and an investigation is ongoing by Desoto Police.

Even though an arrest photo had not been released, police were able to identify Cooper after pictures of his tattoos were circulated.
