Man’s Arm Ripped off by Crocodile and Luckily Reattached Later

This horrific accident left a zoo worker missing his arm.

The crocodile held on to the arm as a trophy until it finally dropped it.

Witness the incredible story of the man who had his arm bitten off by a crocodile and the rescue story involved.

Veterinarian Chang Po-yu of Kaohsiung, Taiwan is luck to be alive. He is also lucky to have his arm rightfully reattached to his body and not in the stomach of a crocodile.

Reportedly, the events unfolded on April 11, 2007, when a zoo keeper reached into the cage bars of a supposedly tranquilized Nile crocodile to remove tranquilizer darts. Well, this monster-sized crocodile was playing possum and ripped the man’s arm clean off. It held onto its trophy while being shot at before dropping it. One mighty gulp that arm would have been history.

Incredibly after seven hours of surgery, the man’s arm was reattached. Now that story has all the makings of a Hollywood movie.
