For the outdoorsman with a disability, getting to the wild places they love can be fraught with obstacles. Enter the Action Trackstander.
The Action Trackstander is a hybrid machine that crossed a traditional wheelchair with a tank. It’ll go anywhere and when you arrive at your destination, it’ll raise you to an upright position for whatever work needs to be done from standing height.
It runs on two 12-volt batteries, tops out at five mph and can be outfitted with a number of accessories including a gun scabbard and rifle rest.
The machine is surprisingly quiet and nimble. I watched Todd navigate his unit around a busy showroom floor all weekend with no problems.
If you’re like me, you’re wondering about the cost…and it is significant (see their pricing chart here), but with a doctor’s note, some insurance companies will cover some or all of the cost.
If a disability is keeping you or someone you love out of the field, an Action Trackstander might be just the thing to get back in the game.
