Make Hams From Your Deer Hind Quarters [VIDEO]

Still trying to figure out what to do with that last hind quarter from last fall’s deer? Try making a ham.

You’ll need a food-safe mesh bag, a bucket of brine, an injector, and a smoker to turn that quarter into deer ham.

This video from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission shows you how.

 

Once your ham is done it can be used for sandwiches, as breakfast meat, or just about any other way you use pork ham.

Can’t get any fresher than that!
