Lynx Takes a Leisurely Swim Across Lake in Canada

Watch a lynx prove once and for all that cats, especially big cats, don’t mind the water at all.

Never doubt the power of wild animals to do the unexpected. Although it’s been documented many times in the wild, it never ceases to amaze us when wild cats jump in the water and start swimming.

Here’s a rabbit-eating lynx that can paddle with the best of them.

Maybe it was just the movement of the boat, but it seemed like that wild cat was fighting a bit of current for a moment.

Whatever the case, if you find a wild animal swimming by you in a boat make sure to keep some distance between you. It doesn’t seem like this boater caused too much problem for the lynx, but remember that harassing wild animals is not only poor sportsmanship, but you may find yourself on the wrong end of a nasty fine!

This lynx seemed to be no worse for the wear and found himself happily on the side of the lake with all the bunnies.
