Martin Truex, Jr. spent some time relaxing and fishing before his historic win at Pocono over the weekend.
NASCAR and bass fishing go together nicely, striking a chord with the heartland of America and giving us a weekend activity that we’ll never stop looking forward to.
But NASCAR drivers bass fishing themselves? That’s a whole new stratosphere of awesome.
Take a look at what Martin Truex, Jr. was up to as he looked forward to his race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania. He may not have known it then, but the luck and sklil that combined to fill that stringer continued on into Sunday, where Truex, Jr. won his first Sprint Cup race since 2013.
Good on Truex, Jr. for spending time fishing when he has the availability, and here’s hoping it turns into a regular pre-race ritual for the speedster.
