This Louisiana angler hauled in the catch of lifetime…
When fishing for pot, it’s important to keep your head on a swivel. There is always a chance you might be able to catch a fish in the process, but also perhaps get boarded, kidnapped, ransomed, or worse when whoever owns the pot finds out what you are doing.
Fortunately for this Louisiana angler, he just happened upon it floating in the water.
According to the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office, a man was fishing near Venice when he saw what he though was a cushion floating in the water. Being a good custodian of the ocean, he boated over and scooped it up only to find that it was a package. Upon opening it up, he discovered it was actually full of marijuana.
Authorities were quickly contacted and the 10-pound bag of marijuana was seized. Authorities have no indication of where the pot may have come from, but they estimate it to be worth $25,000.
