This is the best kind of misfire.
The clerk of a cellphone store in Los Angeles Metro PCS store is lucky to be alive after an armed robbery.
As KTLA.com reports, a robber entered the store in Boyle Heights and tried to fire multiple shots in the cellphone store. But through an incredible stroke of luck, the robber’s gun repeatedly misfired.
You can see the full footage of the robbery below.
The way he stumbles and trips more than once and fidgets with the gun, you get the feeling he didn’t think this robbery through very well ahead of time. A news release from the police states the 25 to 30-year-old suspect repeatedly attempted to get the gun to fire, but it misfired every time. He took the bag of money offered by the clerk and fled the scene.
Police are still looking for the robber. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Hollenbeck Robbery Detectives at 323-342-8981 or the LAPD at 1-877-527-3247.
Anonymous tips can also be turned in on the LAPD’s Crime Stoppers website or by calling 1-800-222-8477.
This is definitely a case of a misfire being a good thing. The employee was unharmed in the incident. Let’s hope the LAPD can get this guy off the streets soon.
