The Mola-Mola or ocean sunfish is the heaviest bony fish known to man, and this one might be the heaviest.
It’s also one of the weirdest looking creatures you’ve ever seen, and when you get to see one this big you can see every detail.
These divers were quite accommodating and pretty much kept their distance, although one got close enough to touch it.
It’s interesting that they are known in parts of Asia as a delicacy even though the main part of their diet is jellyfish, the toxins of which can be stored up in the flesh of the fish.
In the EU sale of these fish is prohibited.
