An architectural photographer captures isolated ice fishing huts in Canada. Here are the 10 loneliest ice houses ever.
Richard Johnson, an interior designer turned architectural photographer, has gone around to nine of the 10 Canadian provinces photographing ice houses.
He has photographed 700 huts and his finished products convey so much more than just fishing structures. There is a simplistic loneliness to these photos that stir up many different emotions.
I like it when it has that desolate feel. It is architecture at its most primitive level.
Some of these ice houses have a lot of character.
