Lone Coyote Attacks Pet Dog in Suburban Backyard

Are your pets safe if you leave them alone outside?

If you live in coyote territory, the answer is no.

Watch as a coyote attacks someone's pet dog right in their backyard.

In Northfield, Illinois, a couple has a frightening tale to tell and a home surveillance video to prove it.

The attack happened in their backyard near forest preserves. The coyote grabbed their 14-pound dog, Boozer, before Mrs. Dinges ran from the house and scared the predator away.

Boozer survived, but received staples for a gouge to his eye from.

Keep an eye on your pets. The coyotes sure will.
