Lion Steals a Warthog Kill from a Leopard: That’s Why It’s the King of the Jungle

Watch This Lion Steal A Warthog Kill From a Leopard

That’s why the lion is called the king of the jungle.

Some lucky tourists in South Africa’s Kruger Park were fortunate enough to capture some great footage of a leopard catching and killing a warthog. However, a nearby lion heard the commotion and came over to investigate.

Seeing the bigger cat approaching, the leopard decided that discretion was the better part of valor and immediately took off and abandoned the warthog kill.

Even though the leopard is a fearsome predator, it is no match for a lion. That’s one of the reasons why leopards will take their kills up into trees in order to eat without having to worry about a lion or hyena stealing their food. Unfortunately for this leopard, a bigger and tougher animal showed up before it could escape with dinner.

As they say, life is tough in the wild, even if you’re a serious predator like the leopard.
