Allied sniping rifles of WWI are quite impressive.
These long-distance killers were more selective than any other weapon of the time. Forgotten Weapons shows us all about some excellent WWI sniper rifles.
Ian from Forgotten Weapons has a selection of U.S. military sniper rifles from World War I. Springfield 1903 rifles are capable of extreme accuracy, and various scope selections were used by both the U.S. Army and the U.S.M.C. forces. The scopes on these weapons are unlike anything that is manufactured currently.
I’ve always found it interesting to study the history of snipers and how they pick targets and place their scopes’ crosshairs on enemies. A special thanks to Ian for sharing these pieces of military history.
