Learn to Tie the Kung Fu Crab with This HD Fly Tying Tutorial

Make sure you have this Kung Fu Crab pattern in your fly box during your next destination trip!

The Kung Fu Crab is easily one of my favorite crab patterns out there. It is a large fly, but it can be tied smaller and with lighter eyes for shallow water or spooky fish.

While this pattern is famous for permit and large bonefish, it works great on redfish and snook as well.

I am happy to present to you the latest video in our HD Fly Tying Series that will take you through the steps need to tie this excellent fly.

The materials we used on this fly are as follows:

  • EP Fiber
  • Magnum Rabbit Strips
  • White/Round Rubber Legs
  • Homemade UV Eyes
  • Pearl Grande Estaz
  • Medium Lead Eyes
  • 2/0 Gamakatsu SL 12 Hook
  • Red Sharpie Marker
  • Mono Weed Guard
  • Tan, 210 Flat Wax Nylon Thread
  • Loon UV Thick
  • Clear Cure Goo UV Light
